South Miss (WXXV)- In-person absentee voting wrapped up this weekend ahead of Tuesday’s municipal primary elections in South Mississippi.

Municipal clerks in every city except Waveland are gearing up for a busy day of managing voting precincts and counting the votes after polls close.

In many, but not all cases, the Republican or Democratic primaries in many mayoral and city council races will decide the ultimate winner with quite a few races unopposed in the General Election.

If any primary races go to a runoff, the primary runoffs will be held on April 22nd.
